What Jembo stores, and why

Jembo is an invite-only pilot. This page describes what the product actually does today — not a general policy for features that do not exist yet.

Who you are

Signing in uses your Google account. Jembo receives and stores your name, email address, and Google account identifier so it can recognise you on your next visit. Jembo never receives your Google password.

Your session

Sessions are stored in Jembo’s own database and identified by an opaque random token in a cookie. The cookie holds no role, no permission, and no course data. Signing out revokes the session record on the server.

What you do in a course

Jembo records which lessons you have started and completed, and the answers and score of any knowledge check you submit. This is stored against your enrollment so your progress survives changing device or browser.

Who can see it

The people who run your course can see your progress in the course they own. Every request is authorized on the server against your account and the specific course object; no permission is decided in your browser.

Course media

Course video and files are stored privately, scanned, and served through short-lived signed links tied to your access. They are not published to the open web.

Getting access removed

The person who runs your course can revoke your access at any time. Ask them if you want your pilot account closed or your learning records deleted.
